DESCRIPTION:Fettfeindlichkeit ist tief in gesellschaftlichen Normen verankert. Diese werden aus kolonial geprägten Schönheitsnormen (ausgelegt auf weiße Körper)\, der Einteilung von Körpern in gesund und krank\, einer Reduzierung von weiblich gelesenen Menschen auf Attraktivität\, kapitalistisch geprägten Schönheitswerten und ungleichen Ressourcenzugängen gespeist. \nWir wollen ein Austauschraum über Erfahrungen mit Fettfeindlichkeit sein und politische Bildungsveranstaltungen\, Kleidertausch-Flohmärkte\, Kundgebungen etc. planen. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich. \nWir verstehen Fettfeindlichkeit als:\n– strukturelle Diskriminierung (z.B. auf dem Arbeits- und Wohnungsmarkt\, durch unzureichende Sitzmöglichkeiten etc.)\n– interpersonelle Diskriminierung (z.B. durch Fatshaming\, Concern Trolling etc.)\n– internalisierte Selbstabwertungen (z.B. ein verzerrtes Selbstbild\, die Entwicklung von Essstörungen etc.)\n– mediale Darstellung (z.B. in Zeitschriften\, Zeitungen\, staatlichen Kampagnen etc.)\n– stigmatisierende medizinische Behandlung (z.B. DESCRIPTION:A support group dedicated to international queer individuals experiencing mental health challenges while living in Germany\, specifically in the Wuppertal area. \nThe creation of this group is rooted in the difficulty many non-native speakers face when trying to join support groups where understanding and responding quickly is essential to fully benefit from the experience. \nBeing a foreigner in Germany also comes with unique challenges—both in medical contexts and in daily life—that are rarely addressed in other support groups\, as these experiences are not typically shared by German participants. Cultural differences can further contribute to misunderstandings and create gaps that are often difficult to bridge. \nAdditionally\, being queer and perceived as a woman can present obstacles in support groups that are not explicitly queer-affirming. Experiences of sexism and transphobia can prevent individuals from feeling safe and comfortable enough to speak openly.

SUMMARY:Queere Antidiskriminierungsarbeit im Kontext Schule - SCHLAUer Infoabend
DESCRIPTION:Der SCHLAUe Infoabend bietet die Möglichkeit uns und unsere Arbeit kennenzulernen. Ebenso bietet dieser Termin die Möglichkeit\, das eigene Wissen aufzufrischen\, aber auch Fragen zu queeren Themen in der Schule und anderen Bildungseinrichtungen zu stellen. \nSCHLAU Wuppertal e.V. ist ein Antidiskriminierungs- und Bildungsprojekt\, welches zumeist für Schulklassen (9. – 12. Klassenstufe) Workshops zu den Themen geschlechtlicher\, sexueller und amouröser Vielfalt anbietet. Da die Workshops normalerweise ohne Lehrkräfte stattfinden\, soll dieser Termin die Möglichkeit bieten\, unsere Arbeit selbst kennenzulernen. Vorwissen ist dabei nicht notwendig. \nPrimär richtet sich dieser Abend an Schulsozialarbeiter*innen und (Beratungs)Lehrer*innen\, wir freuen uns aber auch über jede interessierte Person. \nBei Interesse an der Teilnahme des Infoabends bitten wir um eine kurze Anmeldung (mit Namen\, Pronomen\, ggf. Schule/Organisation) per E-Mail an wuppertal@schlau.nrw \n  \nDie Teilnahme ist kostenlos. \nWir freuen uns auf euer Kommen!\nDiese Veranstaltung findet regelmäßig jeden 5. Mittwoch im Monat statt. \nDas Inside:Out ist leider nicht barrierearm\, bei Bedarfen\, sprich uns gerne unter wuppertal@schlau.nrw an\, dann können wir eine gemeinsame Lösung finden.
