DESCRIPTION:A support group dedicated to international queer individuals experiencing mental health challenges while living in Germany\, specifically in the Wuppertal area. \nThe creation of this group is rooted in the difficulty many non-native speakers face when trying to join support groups where understanding and responding quickly is essential to fully benefit from the experience. \nBeing a foreigner in Germany also comes with unique challenges—both in medical contexts and in daily life—that are rarely addressed in other support groups\, as these experiences are not typically shared by German participants. Cultural differences can further contribute to misunderstandings and create gaps that are often difficult to bridge. \nAdditionally\, being queer and perceived as a woman can present obstacles in support groups that are not explicitly queer-affirming. Experiences of sexism and transphobia can prevent individuals from feeling safe and comfortable enough to speak openly.

Hierbei stehen die eigene Biografiearbeit\, Erfahrungen und Perspektiven im Mittelpunkt. \n\n\nZusätzlich finden regelmäßig kostenlose Weiterbildungs- und Freizeitangebote für alle Teamenden statt\, an denen ihr teilnehmen könnt. \nUnsere Teamtreffen finden immer am 2. und 4. Mittwoch im Monat statt. DESCRIPTION:Du bist queer\, zwischen 18 und 35 und suchst das passende Ehrenamt für dich ? \n\n\nDann komme zu SCHLAU. \n\n\nSCHLAU Wuppertal ist ein Projekt\, das sich gegen Diskriminierung einsetzt und sich auf sexuelle\, romantische und geschlechtliche Vielfalt konzentriert. \n\n\nWir besuchen Schulen\, Sportvereine und andere Jugendeinrichtungen und bieten dort Workshops zu diesen Themen an. Hierbei stehen die eigene Biografiearbeit\, Erfahrungen und Perspektiven im Mittelpunkt. \n\n\nZusätzlich finden regelmäßig kostenlose Weiterbildungs- und Freizeitangebote für alle Teamenden statt\, an denen ihr teilnehmen könnt. \nUnsere Teamtreffen finden immer am 2. und 4. Mittwoch im Monat statt. Wir treffen uns um 18:30 im Inside:Out. \n___ \nAre you queer\, between 18 and 35\, and looking for the right volunteer opportunity for you? \nThen join SCHLAU! \nSCHLAU Wuppertal is a project that stands up against discrimination and focuses on sexual\, romantic\, and gender diversity. \nWe visit schools\, sports clubs\, and other youth organizations to offer workshops on these topics. Personal stories\, experiences\, and different perspectives are at the heart of our work. \nIn addition\, we regularly offer free training and leisure activities for all team members\, which you’re welcome to join. \nOur team meetings take place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at Inside:Out. \n

Freut euch auf eine gemütliche Atmosphäre\, kinderfreundliche Räume\, Kaffee\, Tee\, Kuchen und die Möglichkeit\, euch mit anderen Familien auszutauschen. \nFür die Kleinen gibt es Spielzeug\, Bücher\, Puzzlematten und einen Spielteppich. Außerdem steht ein WC mit Wickeltisch bereit. \n Barrierehinweis: Der Zugang zum Hauptraum und zu den WCs ist leider nicht barrierefrei. Meldet euch gerne vorab bei uns – wir finden gemeinsam eine Lösung. \n___ \n Rainbow Family Gathering \nWe warmly invite all queer families! Enjoy a cozy atmosphere\, a child-safe space\, coffee\, tea\, cake\, and the chance to connect with other families. \nFor the little ones\, we provide toys\, books\, a foam puzzle mat\, and a play carpet. There is also a bathroom with a changing table. \n Accessibility note: The entrance to the main room and the bathrooms are unfortunately not fully accessible. Please contact us in advance if this is an issue – we’ll work together to find a solution.
